I bought a 1993 Honda Civic DX from North Eugene Auto. It had a larger, rebuilt engine. When I bought the car, I mentioned a few things that the car needed, like an oxygen sensor. Brian Slater fixed them for nothing. I could not get the check engine light to turn off. I took it to two shops and they got the code, but could not figure out how to fix it. So six months after I had purchased the car, I took it back to Brian to see if he could figure out the problem. He and one of his mechanics spent a couple of hours and the light would go off and go on. Totally frustrating. So he called a shop that specialized in Hondas, and they came over and took the engine control module apart, and found a burned out resistor, which they replaced and voila! the light went off. I asked Brian how much I owed him and he said nothing. What a surprise. An honest used car salesman. A guy who stands behind what he sells. If you are looking for a reasonably price used car, I would definitely check North Eugene Automotive.

What a great honest shop! Was recommended to this place by a friend for a second opinion after another shop down the road gave me an astronomical quote (hint: avoid the shop that has PT Cruisers as loaner vehicles). Brian and his shop did fantastic work, and the bill came in under his estimate, which was WAY less than the other shop, and even did more work (new clutch)! Would give 4.5 stars, only because it took a couple days longer than expected to get my vehicle back, but with and older high mileage vehicle, sometimes you end up chasing leaks and takes a day or two to get parts each time. Can't fault the shop for that at all, but it's just inconvenient.

I bought a 1993 Honda Civic DX from Brian Slater and North Eugene Automotive for a reasonable price. There were a few things it need like an oxygen sensor, and he fixed them for free. I would highly recommend North Eugene Automotive to anybody who is looking for a reasonably priced used car, or is looking for mechanical repairs.

I have been a customer of North Eugene Automotive for over 27 years. This company has the highest ethical standards I have ever come across in car service & repair. Diagnostics rarely cost anything because they know almost immediately what needs repair. Only repairs that are necessary are recommended and often I am told "at the next service" such and such should be done. Never "if you don't fix this right now and pay $$$$$ your wheels will fall off" Yep, I've heard that from one of the most "reputable" tire companies in the business. North Eugene is simply the best. I can't figure out why you would go anywhere else.

As an engineer I appreciate the knowledge base of the mechanics. They know their stuff. I had my truck inspected snd repaired. Excellent work.

Brian and the staff at North Eugene automotive are both knowledgeable and friendly. They are both honest and fair with reasonable prices. I have taken my car to him twice now once for a tune up and once for a mechanical issue. Both times I was very satisfied. I would recommend this place to anyone looking for a great mechanic.

Under new ownership and it shows. Use to be a great place to go and have great trustworthy repairs done. I needed some repairs and called to get a quote. Was told they'd call me back with it. After 24 hours had passed I called again. Talked to the new owner and he said he forgot and would call me by end of the day. That was 2 days ago and nothing still. Hard to find a good shop these days and I had found one which was recommended to me 5 years ago. With service like this one can only imagine what the repairs are like now. Sure miss the previous owner. Lost my business for good.
